Security

Security brings together the tools that help you look after your server. You can give your moderators the controls they need, let us handle common problems automatically and choose how new members verify.

Open your server dashboard and select Security to get started.

Moderation

Use Moderation to choose alert messages, save reasons your team uses often and configure immune roles. There's also abuse detection for repeated moderation actions.

Start with your team's usual workflow: decide which alerts you want, add your preset reasons and check who should be exempt before enabling protections.

Set up moderation.

Auto Moderation

Don't want your team to catch every problem by hand? Auto Moderation can check messages for filtered words, spam, mentions and unwanted links. You can also set up join protection and a honeypot channel.

We recommend starting with one check at a time, testing it and then adding more. That makes it easier to spot a rule that's too strict for your community.

Set up Auto Moderation.

Verification

Choose whether members verify with one click, a CAPTCHA or Roblox. You'll select a channel, the roles to add or remove and the checks you'd like members to complete.

Save your panel, then post it in Discord. Members can use that panel or /verify in its assigned channel when the command is enabled.

Set up verification.

Commands

Choose which commands your team and members can use. You can turn commands or categories off and adjust the settings available for each command.

Manage command access.

Permissions to check

Blob needs the permissions for the actions you enable. For example, removing messages needs Manage Messages, assigning roles needs Manage Roles, and kicking or banning needs the matching Discord permission. Our role also needs to sit above the members or roles we're managing where Discord requires it.

Don't give every moderator access to every action just to make setup easier. Start with what each person actually needs.
